ABOUT THE RESORT

Location: 34 km south of Burgas

Ground: Rocky peninsula.

Beaches: In the town there are 2 beaches - 1) Central beach and 2) Harmani beach. On 3 km north from Sozopol we recommend the Golden Fish beach

What to do: Everything is available here, but the most interesting thing is probably the old town with its interesting old-style wooden houses (some of them are national monuments).

Internet access: Widely available in the new town Internet cafes on the main street. The cheapest Internet cafe is the one in the building of Central Post office in the new town (BTC). Wi-Fi Internet access coverage on TU-Sofia Recreation center area.

In order to reach Sozopol you can travel by train or by bus or fly by plane to Burgas and then take a taxi or a bus (minibus) from Burgas to Sozopol. The train station in Burgas is next to the bus station. To get from Sofia airport to the central railway station by public transport, you have to take the airport bus No. 84 and change at the Pliska Hotel stop to any of the following bus lines: No 213, 313, 305. All these buses terminate at the central railway station. You need to buy tickets for these buses in advance at the bus stop kiosks and validate them when you get on board. The price is 0.50 BG leva per ticket and is valid for only one bus. The Sofia central bus station is next to the central railway station.

Fast and express trains link the capital Sofia with the town of Burgas. Sleeping cars are recommended for night travel. Tickets can be bought in advance at the Transport Centre in the National Palace of Culture or at the Sofia Central Railway Station before the travel. Traveling with first class and reserved seats is preferable. Tickets can be bought from ticket-collectors in trains, but at a higher price.
By plane from Sofia to Burgas
Burgas has an international airport,which is 12 km north of the city. There are buses that will take you from Burgas airport to the bus station for the Burgas-Sozopol buses.
By bus from Sofia to Burgas or directly to Sozopol
Buses leave from the central bus station next to the central railway station in Sofia. The prices vary but it costs approximately 18 BG leva to get to Burgas and 19 BG leva to Sozopol. The journey to Burgas takes about 6 hours; to Sozopol it takes 7 hours. We recommend buses from the two relatively big transport firms "GROUP" and ETAP Express. Their buses are air-conditioned.
By bus from Burgas to Sozopol
There are regular buses from Burgas to Sozopol every hour just outside the central railway station in Burgas. The price is approximately 2.50 BG leva and the travel takes about 40 minutes. You can take a taxi, which costs approximately 30 BG leva (50 at night)
